Kevin Bacon got his big break after making his film debut in the 1978 movie National Lampoon’s Animal House. He played the role of Chip Diller. Bacon made his television acting debut in 1979 in the daytime drama Search for Tomorrow. That same year, he appeared in the movie Starting Over.

Bacon’s next big films came in 1982, when he appeared in the movie Diner, and then in 1984 when he starred in Footloose. Bacon’s other acting roles include appearances in Friday the 13th; Guiding Light; and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

I landed here and started waiting tables… I had the best time enjoying what was kind of the center of the universe in 1976 and then beyond.”
