Sarah Jessica Parker has opened up a new store for her eponymous shoe collection. The brick and mortar shop is located in the hip shopping section on Bleeker Street in New York City.

This week the Sex And The City veteran shared images from the new shop, which sells her kicks. It is a soft pink color throughout with an upscale art deco feel that should make any woman who enters feel like a princess.

And the TV star also talked about what this new shop means to her as she says she is 'flattered' that so many customers are lining up outside to get in.

Parker, who works at the store very often as she plays shop girl, says she is happy to answer questions as, for her, it is all about the 'human connection' between shop owner and customer.

On social media this week she shared images inside the shop as she said, 'Tickled pink to officially introduce @sjpcollection at 385 Bleecker Street.'

'A labor of love. And then some. One more sleep until we get to swing open this door and welcome you all inside. X, SJ.'

Sarah Jessica has often been spotted working at her other stores as well: in addition to her shop on Bleeker Street, she also has stores in Las Vegas, Edmonton, Canada, and Dubai.

Parker said getting a SJP Collection store off the ground was a 'long process'.

The star remarked it feels the process of getting a brick and mortar flagship boutique for her line of shoes has been happening 'forever' when it opened on Manhattan's Bleecker Street.

The 57-year-old actress told Extra: 'Here we are.

'It's been a long process and we've been building this store up for, it feels like forever now, but for a lot of months.'

Sarah Jessica - who has son James, 20, and twin daughters Marion and Tabitha, 13, with her 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' star husband Matthew Broderick, 60 - called the round the block queues 'amusing and flattering'.

She said: 'It's nice… The kind of attention that exists outside the windows are amusing and flattering, but I think when people come in and they actually shop and they wanna be here and they keep trying on shoes and they're asking questions about the brand, and asking really informed smart consumer questions…

'That's the part that's the most rewarding because as you know retail is only about the human connection.

'That's all that matters.'

The And Just Like That star even designed a shoe for the hotly anticipated second season of the spin-off to the 90s show- which aired on HBO and starred Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon - from 'a fake old Italian brand called Duchessa.'

Sarah Jessica said: 'We did it for them, for the show and it was a fake old Italian brand called Duchessa.'

Last week the performer mingled with numerous customers at the opening of her store, which will showcase various products from her footwear line.

The actress has previously spoken about designing shoes for her longtime character, Carrie Bradshaw.

Parker kept it casual during the opening, as she tucked a dark gray long-sleeve shirt into a pair of blue jeans. The Divorce star also rocked a pair of sparkling blue high-heeled shoes and accessorized with several necklaces.

Her blonde hair was tied into a lengthy ponytail and she wore a black facial mask to reduce her chances of contracting COVID-19 while spending time at the opening.

Parker co-founded SJP Collection alongside her business partner, George Malkmus, in 2014.

The performer first focused on designing high-heeled shoes for consumers before branching out into accessories.

The entrepreneur has since began offering various fragrances under her brand's name and sells wine through a collaboration with winemaker Invivo.

She also designed several shoes that were worn by Bradshaw in the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That.

Parker spoke about working on her character's wardrobe during an interview with FootwearNews, where she remarked that Bradshaw's taste in shoes was an integral part of her personality.

'As fans of the original series are well-aware, fashion and specifically footwear have always been a deeply important part of the storytelling, especially for my character,' she said.
